The Canadian Association of Security Professionals, (CA🍁SP) is a Canada-wide association committed to professionalizing the security industry for the betterment of security professionals, security employers, their clients, and the public.
The roles and responsibilities of security professionals and private investigators (collectively, security professionals) is expanding and increasingly complicated. Security professionals are expected to engage in difficult, dangerous, technical, and litigious situations. Their current 40 basic security training course (in provinces that require any training at all) does not prepared security professionals for the spectrum of situations they encounter.
Training provides security professionals with the knowledge and skills to safely and competently engage in difficult situations.

CA🍁SP Charter
The Canadian Association of Security Professionals strives to increase the profile of security professionals and the security industry in society. Security professionals are a deterrent to inappropriate and illegal behavior. By providing quality training and promoting the use of security professionals to safeguard people, property, and information, organizations and patrons have skilled professionals available to manage situations.
CA🍁SP’s training programs are developed by teams of industry experts and instructional professionals. This results in quality courses that convey the required information in a manner that facilitates learning. In-services courses provide security professionals with timely and focused training so they can effectively perform their duties.
CA🍁SP is building a repository of foundational and in-service courses to meet the needs of new and experienced security professionals across Canada (and around the world). We encourage industry professionals to partner with us to develop this training and to promote the CA🍁SP.
CA🍁SP has a Development and Advisory Committee comprised of industry representatives committed to professionalizing the security industry.
