Security Training Framework working group

CA🍁SP is looking to establish a working group of senior security professionals from across Canada. This working group will develop a training framework for the security industry.

A training framework does not create courses. It identifies roles, and then details the knowledge and skills (competencies) a person in that role needs to have to be safe and effective. A training framework determines the competencies, learning objectives, and time to be spent on each competencies. A training company then puts together courses however they want, provided they teach the necessary competencies for that role. They then submit the course(s) for accreditation.

Developing a training framework is a large project. Some of the information already exists, but must be reformatted.

Contact us if you’re interested. I’m collecting the names of interested persons now. The work starts this fall.
