Development and Advisory Board

The CA🍁SP Development and Advisory Board guides the development and direction of the Association. Members of the security industry are active in three committees: recruitment, advocacy, and training.


Board members

Dayne Charbon, SAS-AP, CPO

Dayne has over 16 years experience as a security professional, and is nationally recognized for his leadership and industry impact. In 2023, he was named one of “Canadian Security’s Top 10 Under 40.”

He teaches Situation Awareness and Leadership at Mohawk College, and serves as Head National Consultant for Public Safety Canada. His experience reflects a strong background in risk assessment, security strategy, and professional leadership.

Josef Berger

Josef began as a landscape contractor, and evolved into providing residential security services to rural customers who are often away from their properties for months during the off-season.

Being one of the few rural security companies focused on residential security, his company is avante guarde in developing and providing JIT training to ensure quality security services.

He is setting a benchmark for his aspect of the security industry. 

Greg Lundberg

Greg has over ten years experience in the security industry. He has worked in many sectors, from bars and casinos, to loss prevention, and now as a healthcare security officer.

His diverse background gives him a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities of security professionals and the security industry. Greg remains committed to raising standards and contributing to safer environments that benefit patrons, workers, and security professionals.

Dr. Roy Jensen

Executive Director
Training Director

Dr. Jensen is an award-winning instructor. He has taught post-secondary science, and worked with academic and vocational organizations to develop and improve their training programs. One of these projects was the review and revision of the Alberta basic security training program. This project uncovered a nation-wide need for additional training, which led to the formation of CA🍁SP.
