A series of incidents in Saskatchewan hospitals has put security guards under an uncomfortable spotlight. That spotlight is warranted. Security guards are inadequately trained for the challenging, dangerous, and litigious situations they are expected to engage in. This harms everyone: security guards, their victim, the security industry, and society.
